The Mango Tree App
Untitled design-16

The Mango Tree App is our front-end Android-based smartphones designed for low-income and low-literacy rural users to promote financial accountability, resource management, and a tool for VSLA members.  It could be also used as financial vetting tool to bridge the gap between rural entrepreneurs or Small Market Entrepreneurs (SMEs)   to access tradition industry-based financial lending options.

Integrated in the app are robust modules such as the VSLA passbook, point-of-sale system, personal finance tool, property vetting, and the generation of a financial history report. Based on our observation on the ground, we feel that these tools are vital for understanding financial responsibility and accountability.

In short the Mango Tree App is a vital tool that can be implemented with ease especially for micro-economic growth development projects. With a great support team and a strong support package that makes our product stand above our competitors.

Features Supporting the VSLA Model
A Built in Basic Mango-POS (M-POS)

The power of our MTS product is the full digitization and cloud-based integration to the traditional uses of the VSLA model.  Geared towards low-income and low-literacy, the MTS is a powerful tool to support better transparency between  members and social/caseworkers.

Stakeholders/program designers can benefit through the Mango Administrative Management Portal by understanding member behaviors, trends, and highlighting key metrics.

The M-POS is a simple point-of-sale system that allows rural entrepreneurs or Small Market Entrepreneurs (SMEs) to keep track of their daily sales.  Built for simplicity and practicality, the basic M-POS license targets low-income/low-literacy business operators as a tool to support recording of daily transactions.  It is an enterprise level tool for the rural business operator.

Personal Finance
Personal Property Vetting

The personal finance module of the app allows end-users to keep track of expenses, income, and investments (business and stocks) on a daily way. The module also allows end-users to have an industry-style mostly statement of financial activity.

This feature allows the end-user and case worker to asses property values from real estate, livestock, household goods, and business resources.  Reports generated from this feature will allow the end-user to use this information as collateral.

Financial History
Administrator Management Portal

The app keeps track of household expenses, business investments/expenses, VSLA savings and property ownership to pull into a single report.

The Administrative Management Portal (AMP) allows program directors, caseworkers, MFI administrators, to manage personnel and clients.  Access to raw live data and demographic information is as simple as a click.
